Shooting of the film began in January 2007 at various locations in India. Over 30 of the Bollywood's hottest stars are putting in a guest appearance for a special song in the film. The film is slated for release on November 9, 2007 .Om Shanti Om is all set to create another record of sorts by going in for an unheard of 2000 prints (worldwide) release just after the release in india they will be releasing it worldwide. This is the highest number of prints (including digital) for any Indian movie till date.
