I have expressed fears about the future of our country many times. We need strong leaders, but all we get are squabbling, crooked, and weak polititions. they are more interested in getting into power than in helping our country survive. GOD save us.

Granted, I may be a bit biased here. I was a little kid back in the 1970s, and grew up in the 1980s. Things were more liberal and egalitarian in the 70s, and *way more hopeful* back in the 80s.
But this just isn't my country anymore. I wasn't *born* in a one-party country where Big Oil Rules Everything, ok? O_O
And the economy has always screwed people who are poor like me over (online only because of a donated computer and a fair bit of hustle). So yeah...I'm worried. I'm angry, upset and scared. I don't want to be the last person who remembers what it was like to live in a Free Country, you know?
Really....this has been on my mind a fair bit today. Did Big Oil, their *boys* Bush and Cheney, and the religious fundies they own just plain *murder* the future for the rest of the human race? Did they? It sure as hell looks like it.
So yeah, I'm scared. o_o Thing is....I'm not sure that fear *is* what the Power Mongers think it is. They seem to think everyone will just *cave in* when they're scared.
That may be usually true, but not always. Some people *fight* when they're cornered.
And right now I feel pretty damned cornered. Back against the wall almost to the point of grinding into it...

well with bush beating the war drums again how will america react.it will be decades before we pay off our war debt,and the people that can least afford to pay will pay through the nose!
