Ok this girl is not a baby, but 17yrs old. She came to our school in Sept. and me and my friend have difficulty calling her Korean name.. it's like "hyun" something.. anyways this is her:

- shy around people but when you get to know her she is very friendly

First as her if it's alright if you give her an American name. She may be offended. If she's alright with the idea you could ask if she has a name she likes. A suggestion you can make is June, it's close to Hyun.

We had a German exchange student. She had a popular name Jenny, but to this day we call her German Jenny. Just because my kids had tons of other friends named Jenny.
