First of all, Wow, you sounds so freaken Racist, im sorry. Call people of color, African americans. Not Blacks. And yes some do and some dont. A bunch of my friends and I ( half of them African American ) were celebrating halloween. But some had to stay home and give out candy.

first of all, Jason, My aunt went to India once and the apparently the people there don't mind being called black, and prefer to be called black rather than "coloured" or "people of colour". Also, think about it, would you be offended if Someone called you white? I know I wouldn't, I am white and I'm proud of it. You imply that anyone with black skin is ashamed of it, and thats shouldn't be. Also, he clearly said he was not trying to offend, so you shouldn't take offense at something that meant no offense.

Now, over to the question writer. I would assume some do, some don't. I would think the colour of skin matters about as much as the colour of the eyes. it's all in religious beliefs and whats happening at the time. Some people might call it the devils holiday, some might have to babysit.

The black women at work (they don't find the term black racist, that's what they call themselves) celebrate it. Maybe it depends on where you live. The only folks around here who go on about how evil it is are the white Bible churches. But that seems to be the pattern, the white churches want to make a big stink about everything, the black churches are busy doing the Lord's work and not fricken crying "devil, devil, persecution, persecution" all the time.

some people simply don't celebrate due to their religion while others don't celebrate for their safety. True for every race but historically ghettos are filled with black people (yes I said it) who wants to send their child to the local drug dealers house for halloween? Or who wants to send their kid out to be caught in a drive by?

I had some very cute black children trick or treating, and some really cute white ones, and I even had one red one!
Think it just depends on beliefs
