First you need a proper dungeon. Then you set an opulent and delicious trap.
Actually, it's probably a perspective thing when it's not being some lousy quip from people in full bumper sticker humor mode.

you got one (life that is) maybe you want to know how to live life.
1. Be an independent thinker
2. Explore Love and goodness
3. Learn that insight comes when you stand alone with compassion non-judgement and forgiveness
4. Have a go at discovering and exploring the implications of Infinity
5. Look deep within yourself and explore the possibility for Absolute Love
6. Don't be afraid to be different
7. Don't let scientists or religious ideologues blind you to infinite possibility and potentiality
8. Allways look for the unknown because if anyone already had absolute knowledge it would be self evident. What we are looking for is the impossible answer to the impossible question. What if we chose to live through the impossible?
9. maybe the only universal is that there is no universal and therefore the capacity for exploration is limitless.
10. And here is the big one. Build yourself a coherent thought network with Absolute Love, goodness, non-judgment and forgives as the axial criteria then explore where it takes you.
11. To get a life you must learn to live through your self-goodness not the beliefs and rules of others.

I worked with a real neurotic, and manipulative woman named Marilyn. Marilyn gave everyone mega doses of sickenly sweet flattery. The most dangerous place on Earth was between her and some authority figure she was gonna "brown nose".

She was a person who thought to much about the impact she was going to make. It showed. She never shut up about her ulcer and when the work load it came in handy because she had her note from the Doctor to exempt her from mandatory overtime.

Me I got a life. Part of my life is enjoying answering questions on Yahoo Answers.

Do enough soul searching to discover what you want out of life. Then make a plan to achieve those goals. Work towards your goals until you've reached them. Of course, along the way you'll no doubt set newer and more lofty goals, so you will always be reaching.
Most of all it is important to enjoy the journey along the way. No matter where you are along your path, take notice of it. Revel in it. End each day knowing you've lived your best.

You are asking the wrong people by condescending before anyone trys to share with you. You "get a life" when you stop expecting others to do what you need to do for yourself.

Well, we are all living but "getting a life" is a entirely different from existing. You have to start somewhere and I think it starts from within. And you have to want it bad enough. Anything worthwhile is worth achieving...and fighting for and believing in...including a life. It's mind over matter. What constitutes a life my have a different meaning to different people. Find your meaning.

One goes about getting a life by doing the things one wants to do, taking care of the things one needs to take care of and enjoying every minute of it!

It depends what your personal idea of a 'life' is.
I was told by someone to.. 'get a life', because i have different interests to them (I love Art/antiques/fashion)
And this particular person was living a 'life' of drugsand living off government hand-outs.
Her definition of life was different to mine.
LIfe is about passion, and personal fulfillment.
If someone does not enjoy their current 'lifestyle'
there's opportunity to change.

stop asking people online and go talk to real people, get to know people, go explore the world, learn a trade, do something with your life.
