its a fake laugh that means laughing my a** off. And you wouldn't have to add an "ing" because laughing has that covered. lol I say lmao so much its like my profession.

I'm laughing in a hearty way when I type LMAO. The closest I can get to that is to say LOL or LMAO or ROTFL. I'm chuckling just typing it! So it's not fake for me... I never fake it! LOL!

Well, I'm 40 - I suppose that MAY be where it went...
