I know it's childish, but I can only sleep in the dark if I'm sleeping with my husband. I've never gotten rid of my fear of the dark that I had as a child. He keeps the monsters away!!! ღ♥ღ♥ღ

u got some sense there that why do we sleep in dark
because we are human and it is in our nature that we work in day and sleep in nights
dark helps us sleep well and one of the reason is that humans are afraid of dark that is why they sleep in that time

I sleep with the TV on, so its not completely dark.

I don't, I sleep with the light on, that way I'm not blinded in the morning, and I don't have to adjust to the light...also i sleep better with the light on for some reason...

the the light is a distraction that blinds you eyes and keeps you awake, In the dark you eyes can relax from light and you can have a peaceful sleep.

Because it's less distracting with the light off. If the light is on, I can see all the things around me that I should have done before I went to bed.
