Most likely he did, he was the third of nine children born to Hirschel Marx. How many were boys and hoe many were girls I don't remember.

[inserting disclaimer: "yeah, I know ... I know ... but sometimes I like to exercise free speech... rather than repeat ideologic parrot-talk, once in a while it's "right" to call 'em like you see 'em" ]

Karl Marx was a brilliant thinker. (ducking for cover here) His ideas have been used by some fairly powerful people to effect an incredible amount of change in the politics of the world.

this being said, Marx himself publicly stated that he was "not a Marxist".

I think that as a child he was subjected to a lot of religious stress.

in "the West" he certainly seems to get a bad rap, bordering on the region of "politically taboo".

still, the concept of "class" remains a scary topic in most discussions:

citing:
"Some today question the theoretical and historical validity of "class" as an analytic construct or as a political actor. In this line, some question Marx's reliance on 19th century notions that linked science with the idea of "progress" (see social evolution). Many observe that capitalism has changed much since Marx's time, and that class differences and relationships are much more complex — citing as one example the fact that much corporate stock in the United States is owned by workers through pension funds. Critics of this analysis retort that the top 1% of stock owners still own nearly 50% of the nation's publicly traded company stocks"

somebody who surely has what it takes to examine "The Gulag Archipelago" via Alexander Solzenitzen ... this is the sole e book I in simple terms had to place down. Very depressing. try something somewhat lighter even with the undeniable fact that. propose "carry on the Empty Horses" via David Niven - examine on an identical time as in public for some relaxing seems. :o)

Would you mind if I gave you a "serious" answer to this question? Wikipedia would suggest that he had a brother named Hermann.
