I was an airline attendant and needed a bicycle. He was on my flight and I told him my dilemma. He said he had a shop in NY and that I should go and see him. I bought a bike from him.
We dated and then he became my husband in NY! We spent 35 years pedalling along together very happily. He died very suddenly and I miss him - - - - CJ

1st husband - met him in the local college hangup of my university. He was back from having served in the AF in Japan and mutual friends introduced us. I was already semi-engaged to a wonderful young man; yet got swept up by him...[shoulda stayed with the wonderful young man!]
2nd husband - I had met him during my 1st marriage yet didn't know him well. After my divorce my cousin called me and said he wanted to meet me...I kept saying No, but eventually relented. We were together 10 yrs and are still friends.

I met my wife at a USO dance in Los Angeles on October 31, 1965. We were married on July 2nd of the following year. We just celebrated our forty-first anniversary a few months ago. And we were married in Hollywood! Talk about beating the odds! LOL!

>glow< I still look back at this time in my life with wonder and appreciation for serendipity.......
I had just taken my State Boards for my nursing license, worked full time as a graduate nurse on a critical care unit at a large teaching hospital, had applied to work overseas for a government contractor, and was a volunteer for a group that did first aid stations. My husband was a firefighter/paramedic.
I was coordinator for the first aid station at our local tri-county fair. My husband and his partner were working extra duty at the same fair. It rained alot that year, and these two ff/medics spent tons of time in my first aid station. It took a week, but D eventually asked me out. Our first date wasn't spectacular, but he was fun!
He sent me a dozen long stemmed roses to the critical care unit at my hospital when I got word that I had passed my nursing board exam. He met my dad at the hospital-dad had a heart attack and ended up getting bypass surgery. We dated for a few months, and married a few months later. I declined the offer to work overseas...:) Never-ending story here....we just celebrated our 27 anniversary.

My wife was one of a group of young ladies who came to the Air Base every week to dance with the lonely young airmen there... She was kind enough to let me chase her until she caught me.
Now (43 years later) we minister as a team most of the time and quite often know what the other is thinking before anything is said...
We just complete each other!
I love her with all my heart and thank God for her every day.

When I was married to my now ex, we met on a blind date, arranged by his best friend & my best friend, who were going together at the time. We lived fourteen miles apart & dated on the weekends. We were married a year later & were married for thirty eight years, but we grew apart & decided to go our seperate ways. We remain friends & it's a great thing because we have sons, daughters-in-laws, & five grandchildren.

We met in the early fifties in high school and after graduation, ended up going our seperate ways. We reunited at our 5 year graduation celebration and it was like we never parted. Now, 48 years later, we still are crazy for each other and sometimes act like we're still in high school . . . except now we don't have to drive to lover's lane to neck anymore!
