Waiting for the clock to turn 5:00 so you can get off of work.
Waiting for someone to call.
For the person at the drive through to give you your burger.
For the right person to come along.
For the Messiah to come.
For the world to get better.

It's all about waiting... waiting... waiting... and when things actually happen, you come to find that the wait was longer and worth more than the event you wasted so much time waiting for...

The only time I thought waiting is a waste of time is when I wait on line for 30 minutes at Disney World for a 30 seconds ride....

It's the lesson that ultimately leads to one universal result...

Patience.

But a lot of the time, the wait gives an opportunity for the path to be made clear.
If you didn't have to wait to graduate, you wouldn't learn most of the social skills that are necessary to live a "normal" life.

Sometimes, the more difficult the journey is, the sweeter the result is...if you've waited so long for something to happen, it makes you that much stronger (and usually happier with yourself that you were able to wait that long or do what needed to be done) which gives any situation a more fulfilling sense.
Another reason for the wait is to see if the situation is truly meant-to-be. You have several boy- or girl-friends before you find the love of your life, the others leading you up to the one you're supposed to find. This teaches you other experiences, mostly for your own taste. This boyfriend was too nice and let people bowl him over. That girlfriend was a cruel person who made other people feel like crap, just for kicks. Without these insights, a person's life would be rather boring and mundane, leaving you wondering, "Why didn't I just wait for the right one?"
It's mostly the experiences you go through DURING the wait that mean much more than the wait itself. Multiple tests in one.
For some people this isn't enough to justify the wait but, generally, it's there for a reason.

(Besides, it makes for interesting stories whenever it comes time to tell someone who isn't aware of your struggle - or whatever it may be.)

The truth is, you can't possibly be active all the time, or passive and let every single thing happen of its own accord. You have to find the balance between the two that makes things different than either one. One has no peace and the other has no peace-of-mind. Take your pick as to which one is which.

If you are dissapointed about the things in life for which you have been waiting, I would suggest you do something to change them.

Waiting for 5:00 to watch the sunrise.
Waiting for someone to call to tell you if it's a boy or a girl.
Waiting for the person at the drive thru to finsh taking the order so you can give him his raise.
Waiting for the right person to get out of the bathroom.
Waiting for your messiah to bless the world as he has blessed you.
Waiting for the world to catch up with your vision.

You can wait, or you can ACT. You can be reactive or you can be proactive. You can have a defeatist attitude or you can have a part in bringing hope.

That's where you are mistaken while yes someone life could be all about waiting if you wanted to go above and beyond I would say...

Life is really all about action
Trying to convince someone your the best person qualified for the job- Action.

Trying to make your contribution to the world in your own unique way- once again Action!

You make the world better by writting letters to magazines on evironment, buy florscent lightbulbs

If you meet the person who you think is right for you.. do you stare at her and wait or do you take action.

You know there's 2 people life is a highway. Some are in the slow (right lane) some are in the fast lane. Of course we need to find some balance life always in the fast lane can be stressful.

So that's how I would sum up life.

No. Life is about living it! Enjoy the day, enjoy breathing, enjoy every smile that can lit up your day. Find something in your life to enjoy and if you're done enjoying yourself, give joy to others
so that they can feel the same thing as yours. If you do that, u'll never find yourself waiting coz every second is use for something that is really matter.

Waiting teaches us patience, and it teaches us the value of things. If things came easily to us then we would never appreciate the value of things.

Do not be in such a gloomy mood, I'm sure things will get better in due time!

Good things come to those who wait =]

You look sad... Maybe you should stop waiting and start doing. If everybody waited, nothing would get done. Seize the day!
