How do I operate a cream seperator?

Question

I got a used manual crank cream seperator and it didn't come with instructions. Can anyone tell me how I am suppossed to use it - I have taken it apart - checked the cones, everything looks good. Should I start cranking - get it up to speed and then pour the milk in? It looks like this one : http://novocreamseparators.com
except it is not electric. I tried contacting the company but they are not cooperative. Any advice would be welcome! - Thanks!

you got it, crank it up to speed, and have some one slowley pour whole milk in,
cream will come out one spout and whey out the other.
