Just connect using IP

\\{Ip of other computer}

ie
\\192.168.0.100

If your router uses DHCP, you can still enable DHCP and assign a "static" IP to the mac address of a specific computer (the signature of the network controller of a computer). That way the IP addresses don't change and you can map the network drive in My Computer.

To Map the Network Drive
Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer)
Tools-->Map Network Drive
Assign it a drive letter
type in the smb share
and check reconnect at logon.

You've added the computers to a domain? Perhaps you should add them to the same workgroup. It is more appropriate for a home network.

You can not put them in a domain unless you have a primary domain controller.
