I've done both and was scared sh*tless both times. The best thing to do is drive slowly until you can exit the highway or freeway and get help. Stay in your vehicle. By the way..I like your avatar. Cute cat.

ive never changed a flat tire myself but ive been with several people that changed one on the highway it all depends on the actual conditions of the road also just be careful if you do try this
