Sometimes, a lot of women are stupid and get hired just to take work off. They "cant work" when they are pregnant so they just get paid for doing nothing.

They could. Will they? Unless you are a HUGE asset to them when you come back. They don't want your first paycheck to be for having a baby. You would never be able to prove you were discriminated against for being pregnant unless you could get your hands on the qualifications of the other person and you had ALL of theirs and more.
If you went to court and you had qualifications- A,B,C, and E
And they had A and D. The company would obviously say that D is very important to them. Unless you had A,B,C,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L, etc. would you be hired.
I would advise you not to apply.

They cannot discriminate against a pregnant woman, as long as you can perform the "required" task .. its against the law. Not saying that there is a good chance that a company many feel someone may be more qualified... Hope all goes well..

You will be hard pressed to find one. A friend of mine could not even find a part-time job because she was pregnant. Companies will not hire people whom they know will have to take time off very soon.
She found a job as a secret shopper and a makeup company representative, if that helps. They make their own hours.

They have to hire you if they would hire you were you not pregnant. In other words, its illegal to take into consider a person's pregnant status as a reason to deny emplyment. That would be discrimination. If you are qualified that's all that matters.

Of course it will, otherwise it would be decrimination. Just be mindful that certain companies with say the you are not a good fit even if you are the best candidate just to avoid training someone who will be absent for a while.

Why not, I don't see any point they shouldn't unless it is the company code or policy not to because of the nature of the work and place and position of the job.......and if not in her last trimesters of pregnancy........thats ridiculous I suppose ,when you look for a job and you are about to deliver the baby............so i think it is ok...and who is pregnant?

Yes, they are supposed to I think it's against the law not to, unless the woman is too near the end of her pregnancy.

In the US it is illegal to discriminate against a woman because she is pregnant. Proving that you were is another matter.
