I have been harassed by a collection company on behalf of AT&T for the last two months about amount owed to AT&T. After talking to AT&T for many many times, and being told I owe them "Zero" I still keep getting the harassing calls from the collection company. I talked to AT&T again and again and I even have the Customer Reps Id numbers who told me my accounts is ZERO balance but still keep getting the calls. Even when I call AT&T they have notes all over my account for every conversation I had with them and saying that my balance is ZERO and I owe them nothing. What do I need to do? This is driving me crazy and I feel I want to hire a lawyer to sue AT&T for all the pain and suffering from all this...Anyone can help with this legal issue?

Get AT&T to give you a writen affidavid showing your zero balance & proof of your calls. If they have it on record, they should be able to print it for you.

Who you need to go after or sue is the collection agency. Next time the agent calls, get his/her name & badge or operator number. Ask to speak to a supervisor. Get their telephone number, address, any information you can get. If you have the means, try recording the call. Some phones with answering machines have this option.

Ask them to supply names, phone number or address of the AT&T making the claim. Just keep doccumenting. If it comes to a legal battle, you will have back up & proof that you have done everything possible to correct the problem before it got to the leagl level.

Ok, first you need to start keeping a log/record of all the calls. Time/day and who you spoke with etc.. Get names of all the reps, supervisors etc... You need to put it all in writing that makes it a legal document. You can also contact UCAN-United Consumer Advocacy Network.... They can help clear up the harassment... (877)462-8226 or 1-Go2-UCAN. or email info@ucan.net... Good luck
