You don't have to wear all black, but a black skirt w/ a nice top or a black top w/ a pair of slacks or a skirt is nice. I wouldn't wear jeans. I went to a funeral last year and most of my friends family was wearing jeans and polo style shirts or tshirts. I thought it was disrespectful, but that's me. I think it also kind of depends on the person who died. If they were real laid back and wouldn't want people all dressed in black and fancy, don't do that. If they would want you to wear what makes you comfortable, do that.

Depends whos funeral it is. Some people would like everyone to wear bright colours to celebrate the persons life. As a general rule though you should wear something smart like a suit or black or dark coloured dress.

I always say never wear black to a funeral. Celebrate the new life your family or friend is starting and celebrate the long, happy life they did have. We dont need do live on sorrow, be happy that they lived and move on. Wear bright vivid colors and bring flowers to place on the grave. But remember nothing to revealing! Hope I helped!

Just look tasteful. The black dress would be nice, but not if it is a coctail dress. Be very modest at a funeral. You are there to show your respect, not to attract attention.

Things have gone more casual so there are more choices nowadays. Whatever you choose, keep it simple and conservative. Avoid bright, tight, overly casual or showy. If it's a family member or someone else close to you, stick with black, navy or charcoal.
