I'am doing a poll for school and am trying to poll as many as possible. I'am also doing the comparison of the answer with age, so please include if you are older or younger than 18. Answer must be YES, NO, or UNSURE

YES! Definitely.

It is a waste of resources to keep making them. It costs more to make a penny than a penny (and that's just for the metal).

And it's true that "rounding up" would occur --- but it already occurs anyway.

And if inflation goes down to the point where a penny is again valuable, then there is nothing stopping them from re-issuing them.

Over 18 --- by a lot.

Older than 18. Unsure.

Depends on how things are supposed to work without them. If you buy something and the price with tax comes out to $3.97, will you have to pay $4 or $3.95?

Prices could be manipulated to "round up" so that a few extra cents are paid for everything. Isn't that inflationary?

And if everything is rounded to the nickel, won't we need more nickels?

Older than 18

YES!!!

In fact, we're probably going to be lacking coins and bills in a few decades. Hand-written checks area already being phased out.

No, over 18. Because everything will be rounded up to the next nickel. Total is $3.01, your going to have to pay $3.05.

No
Over 18
When inflation goes through the roof you might want to just set them aside til it goes back down but until then, they are pretty handy.

no, under 18.
We should just wait until the future when paper money and coins are completely and utterly useless and everthing is transferred over.

YES, & I'm 69.
It costs almost 2 cents to make one.
People keep taking them out of circulation.
If it wasn't for sales tax, we'd never need them.
