I say its McCain or possibly Romney. People seem to connect with them.

Thompson is a dud, who has failed to make the impact that was anticipated.

Gulianni would fail misarably against Clinton, as he would fail to energize the conservative base of the GOP. Those folks would stay home on election day.

For me, McCain is he best choice. Romney would be #2.

Your thoughts?

Any Republican Candidate is a much better selection than Mrs. Clinton. The Republican candidates all have experience in politics that is far greater than Mrs. Clintons secret work she did while her husband was the president. I say secret because we really don't know what she did and won't until 2012. Thats ridiculous.
Immigration is the number 2 issue, right after the war. The war issue almost all candidates are the same so it's really not as likely a place to standout as immigration.
Who has the best policy for illegal immigration?
I think the poll that shows 50% of the population will not vote fro Mrs Clinton is a clear indication of how well she measures up to any republican candidate.

With the record left by the Bush Administration it is very unlikely that any Republican will be elected president unless the Democrats have some kind of enormous "meltdown" before the election. If any of the Republicans actually DESERVE to be President its John McCain - and this is coming from a moderate Democrat.

Gulianni is probably the one best suited for the job. He isn't burdened by the deep religious values that have gotten this country into its current situation. The Dems are too disjointed. They lost the last two elections because they couldn't produce a real mover and shaker.

Back slid'n all the way up the hill G Bush?
"History teaches us that underestimating the words of evil, ambitious men is a terrible mistake," Bush said. "Bin Laden and his terrorist allies have made their intentions as clear as Lenin and Hitler before them. And the question is, will we listen?"

If I am not mistaken, Bin Laden is not a threat to the US. So why on earth would G Bush use him like this?

Just goes to show how much this man is a lier!

Somebody prove me wrong please, come on cons rep, answer the question...

Did he just not lie to the world? To his country? To his fellow man?

Yes or No?

If War Denial is dangerous, then Bin Laden must be a threat! It would be nice if this so called man made up his mind for the better of our troops!

Of the present choices it appears that Huckabee is the who could beat Hillary. He is articulate-knows the issues and is a good debater. Some of the others have some but not all of these assets. In fact with Newt as V.P. with him he would be hard to beat--even by Hillary assuming he could get funded by the Republican party.

There is no Republican who can beat one of the top Democrats. The majority of Americans want the Republicans OUT.
