Counter Strike ?

I downloaded an installation from the net but it seems that i can't play cs after i installed it...The installation is the steam installation and i can't play the game with it....anyone can tell me how to use it ? or if you can't tell me how to use it then please tell me another site that can download the cs...any version could be good that is either cs: condition zero or cs: source
