Again, I'm amazed at the fact that there other choices. The Beatles invaded, the rest followed.

yes, i realize that the British invasion was in the 60s, but I just couldn't resist all the other British goodness in the later decades.

Of course the Beatles, but my personal favourite will always be Oasis. Amazing songs, great vocals, and the crazy antics of the Gallagher brothers, it just doesnt get any better!

Best or most influential?
The Beatles had the most influence, by far, both musically and culturally. But 'best' as defined by musicianship, ability to entertain and staying power, it would have to be the Rolling Stones, with an honorable mention to the Who.
