I have an older psu and the 8800 GT come with a dual molex to 6 pin pci connector....would this work for the dual molex to 6 pin adapter put out enough amps for the card. Dont want to have to upgrade psu quite yet...thanks

It is not just the adapter but the amperes on the +12V rail of the power supply that matters. Your power supply must have at least 26 amps on the +12V rail. The 8800GT itself draws up to almost 10 amps on the +12V rail. Processor circuit, cooling fans and motors of drives all draw from +12V rail. Old power supplies tend to be weak on the +12V rail and would have difficulty powering the new high power graphics cards.

U R gonna have to,,,,, the specs on the 8800's R 4 A 450watt+ PSU,,,,,,,Wouldn't under power this monster IF I where U.....
