does any one know when is the best time to pluck out persimmons from a tree?
is it when they are kinda hard and greenish or when they are really soft and redish?

You have to wait until the first freeze... persimmons are best when soft and reddish colored... be sure to pick off the stem at the bottom and the stem on top with the leaves before you place them in your bucket...

The frost is essential, but it might be fun to taste one that hasn't been frozen (a little taste is all you'll need!), just to get the full persimmon "experience." After that, though, definitely wait for the frost ;)

after a frost, and when there soft and yellow
push them thru a colander, [screen thing] to get the pulp out, throw away every thing except the pulp, that's what you use,

After two freezes. I'm from Oklahoma and that is the best time.
