I saw the brief news report about how this poor, innocent little boy came all the way to Canada to get his face tumor removed. He was really excited about the operation, and what does Sick Kids do? They refused to perform the operation to remove his tumor.
Some broad from Sick Kids hospital said they would not do the operation because it isn't a tumor, it's just a birth mark.
It'll stop growing as soon as he stops growing.

I couldn't even believe what I just saw and heard!
Sick Kids Hospital is supposed to help all kids in need, and they turn him away!
Sick Kids Hospital sends out letters to people urging them to send their donations right away before a certain dead line, they also urge people to send their void cheques, credit card ,debit card numbers to have their donations automatically deducted from their bank accounts to help sick kids.
They turned away a kid in need.
I will never, ever send them another donation check ever again!
They betrayed what they preached!

If they can separate all sorts of twins joined in all sorts of ways, sharing all sorts of organs, they could've referred him to U.S. specialists to have something done for him. It's not like the other case of a middle aged man. This is a little boy who, on top of everything else, is an orphan. Point is, they didn't even try anything. It's one thing to have tried and failed...but to turn him away? And it isn't a $ issue either. They save cats and dogs everyday, but not a human. Go figure.

According to one article, the kids have deformities owing to chemical warfare during the Vietnam War, and the main culprit is AGENT ORANGE, a de-foliant used to minimize foliage and to thwart camouflaging. These orphaned children are paying the price for a senseless war of political ideologies. This child is not a malformed freak of nature, it was a man-made chemical mutation that caused it.

I'll bet if he was some other nationality they would've jumped on it.

They betrayed what they preached? Have you ever been to HSC? My son is treated there on a weekly basis and those wonderful people who you are so quick to turn on made a decision based on what would be best MEDICALLY for that child. Do you possess medical degree? I suggest you mouthy people leave those decisions to those who are trained very well to make them. How dare all of you. The Hospital for Sick Children has given my son the ability to walk. I give thanks for those angels everyday. I pray to god none of you ever need treatment for your children, but Sick Kids is the best place in the world to get it, if you need it And as for never giving them a donation again. There are enough parents in the world who's children have been treated so well by this hospital that I am sure they can do without yours anyways. Sick Kids is a positive place. We don't need you hate. Shame on all of you!

I haven't heard this story, but if they say the mark is a birthmark and not a tumor (I don't know), then it probably is just a birthmark. I'm sure somebody will probably help the kid out now that this story is in the press.

i think the money is there to help those who have a tumor, not those desiring cosmetic surgery.

i could tell by the way you wrote, that if i didn't jump on your bandwagon i would get a thumbs down.........that's why they make me giggle.
