Real only for the main tree in my home. The one that my children make Christmas wishes on but the other small ones to decorate can and will be fake.

I went out with my family for the first time last yr and cut down a Christmas tree, then after we had hot chocolate it was great and we plan on doing it again this year. I have always had fake trees but never again. just thinking about going out again and picking out our tree puts me in a great mood.

We always have two fakes in the house but for the past three years we have bought a live one for the garden, decorated it for Chirstmas, and then kept it going afterwards.

The oldest of them is getting quite big now - and of course we're going to have to start giving them to friends and relatives as the years go by - but it just seems like a nice idea.

EDIT: Sorry, that would be "Christmas."

We used one twice when I was little. And let me tell you, I love the smell I hate the tree because it was so dangerous for me putting up decorations. The needles or whatever hurt! Ouchies. And it hurt trying to get my presents from under the tree.

But I do love the smell of the trees.

blondie.

My parents always buy a real one. I love the smell, and it gives me the little extra good feeling on Christmas. ^ ^

We placed our actual tree up the 2d weekend in December and take it down an afternoon or 2 after Christmas. we don't purchase our tree although, we pass back interior the woods and locate one and my hubby cuts it down, so that is slightly "brisker" than people who you purchase. only confirm to maintain your tree with a sturdy supply of water and you would be advantageous to place it up around the 1st/2d weekend of December. actual timber make the abode scent like Christmas, i like it!
