Hes like the greatest singer ever in my opinion and i feel like his songs tell my life story its weird!

Because when he sang he sang from the heart. He lived his music and when he sang "I,m so lonesome i could cry" you could feel his pain.

Because Hank Sr knew people. He knew what we went through, unlike the crap in Trashville. He knew a mans soul, and gave the soundtrack to many peoples lives. Hank Sr is and was the best.

He was in constant agony from spina bifida and simply standing was a chore.

He was the real deal! He actually experienced much of the heartache he sang about in his songs! He'd had a hard life and a rough beginning.

He gave his heart and soul to it all,he knew what life feels like,There is a story about him pulling a pistol on a singer,at the Opry and saying"you are not doing your best boy" True I don't know,sounds like him though.I have heard him say harder things than that.

Because he had an amazing voice, had enough hurt in his life to write & sing the truth. I was a little 13 y.o. Alabama school girl when he died. I wrote a whole page in my little green diary about how sad I was....still am.
