It is very common to be used for both but I guess more so for a boy. I like it.

I know alot of guys named taylor but I also know alot of girls named taylor and I like the name for a girl better but that is simply because the guy taylor i know is a pain in the butt!!

I don't like it of either. The name Taylor reminds me of people I want to punch, probably because every Taylor I've ever met was a jerk moron. I'm not gonna assume you're like the rest of them... but I've got my eye on you so watch out.

it sounds male-ish but thats probably why id preffer it for a girl. like the name samantha cos it can be shortened to sam which can be both male and female. taylor is a good name.
