Think of a number between 1 and 100... don't tell me what it is.

Double it.
Add 10
Halve it.
Add 7
Subtract your original number

Now concentrate on your answer....










Your number is 12.

How does it work?

Mystery number = n
Double it = 2n
Add 10 = 2n + 10
Halve it = n + 5
Add 7 = n + 12
Take away n = 12

You can make your own magic game this way.

Here's another example.

1) Write down the number of the month you were born.
2) Multiply by 100.
3) Add the day of the month you were born.
4) Multiply by 2.
5) Add 9.
6) Multiply by 5.
7) Add 8.
8) Multiply by 10.
9) Subtract 419.
10) Add your age.

Ask for the number then secretly subtract 111.

The number will be MMDDAA (month, day, age)
