Receive a cyber hug.

YES!!

And is something we all have to think about, before getting angry and respond.

Many times the irony is lost, sometimes the neutrality is lost, as writing has no tone of voice or facial expression.

This was fresh air coming into this section. Thank you :-)

I agree 100%. In my classroom there are only 3 rules: Be respectful, be responcible and be safe. This covers everything. Its sad a bunch of 6 year olds can do this 95% of the time, but most adults cannot.

That's a noble idea. But the fact is, if people were prone to behave that way, we wouldn't have a need for feminism or any other form of social justice movement. Because such a value system, if prevalent, would erase the majority of wrongs we currently experience in this and every other society around the world.

It would be nice...and then people can take it a step further and extend the three R's into their real off-line lives. Like other posters have said before me...it is nice to dream.

You are getting a star for this question! I could not agree more with you! :)

It would also be nice if people would apply this way of thinking to their everyday life outside of Yahoo Q &A.

Wish we all could play nice together. For example, there is someone going around clicking thumbs down on even my most non-controversal posts.....I do not really care.....and at least when he / she is messing with me.....they are leaving others alone.....what does puzzle me is....."What is he getting from this childish vendetta?"...... HEY ! Knock youself out friend.....I do not care.....I am not here ego tripping or concerned about "approval".....I am on a death watch as my sister dies of cancer.....this just keeps me occupied.....and if I can help some one so much the better....

If I ever step over the line and hurt anyones feeling....especially if I am wrong.....I will apologize.....If you feel like calling me names and stalking me....knock yourself out.....at least you are leaving others alone.....Have a good day ( :-{p)

However, in the meantime, I Retain my choice to Respond by Reflection, what's being thrown around in here - stupidity begets stupidity; insults beget insults, get it?

EDIT: See my thumbs down? All I did was express MY thoughts - MY opinion - and others feel the need to respond by expressing disagreement.

Well, I would say everyone should remember the three R's in every post, in every section.
