Is there such a career option, where Philosophers speak publicly and stuff like that?

The way to achieve this is to write books. In the circles where the books gain notoriety, you will be asked to come and speak. Doing this will further promote the sales of your books.
If you get lucky, maybe one will even become a best seller. If this happens, you'll get a lot of $$$. A guy named Alan Bloom from a university philosophy department wrote a book for his college administrator and instructor buddies. The book just clicked with people and became a national phenomenon. It's called, "The Closing of the American Mind."

Sure, it's called public skeaking (communication studies) on philosophy. I do believe there is such a thing. They speak at colleges and so forth.

Unless you're independently wealthy I wouldn't imagine that it's possible. If you are it's possible- Socrates did it!
