Pressure anywhere in the syringe is P
P=constant

P=F/A so

F1/A1=F2/A2
where
F1 - force applied
A1- area of a plunger
F2 - force 'inside' the needle
A2 area of the needle

the ratio of
F1/F2=A1/A2= 2.5/5E-3= 500
