American women, can you even imagine if you were born...?

in a country where women are treated this way? Not just by men in general, but by your very own family. Where's the love?

Can you imagine being beaten to death by your family because you were in love? Or can you even imagine having to marry someone just because you're told that you have to? I am by no means a womans libber but I don't see how anyone could do this to a family member.

That's horrible. By now, I either would've escaped or been killed. But then, that's easier said than done, especially when you're brought up in ways like those. To think--a woman is kidnapped and raped, and her own family says she's at fault! It's unthinkable. And virtually impossible to escape, now that I think of it, because you never know who is going to betray you. It's horrible. And this is supposed to be in the name of God? I know I shouldn't judge; it isn't right. But you have to wonder what these people will say when it comes time to face their Judgment...

But we are born in a country where this happens. It might not happen as often as in Jordan or other predominately Muslim countries, but it happens. I know the USA has a lot of domestic abuse problems, but usually the women have family that want them to get away from the abuse...to be safe. These Muslim families are the ones hurting their own sisters and daughters, all ganging up on these defenseless girls and humiliating them and murdering them. There's no love involved. There can't be. There's nothing Godly about this.
