becuase they sell CHICKEN.
They are a fast food CHICKEN chain.
Because beef has already been done a million other times.

KFC could sell beef, but then they would be marketing themselves as more of a general, jack-of-all trades chain rather than a chicken chain (though they do import a bit of pork for bacon). Taco Bell, which is owned by the same company that owns KFC, uses "Think outside of the bun" as its slogan. They could sell burgers, but decide to make the fact that they don't have buns something to highlight. Likewise, KFC wants to aim for more of a "niche" market by excluding hamburgers. Besides, beef consumption is not increasing as fast as chicken consumption is. Society is more health conscious/anti-red meat (though KFC fried chicken is more fattening than hamburgers), and unlike beef and pork, no religion bans the consumption of chicken.

KFC probably doesn't have beef, because their name stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken, not Kentucky Fried Beef. KFC probably wants to focus on serving their customers chicken instead of beef. I don't really know the correct answer, this is just my opinion.

because of the restaurant name itself,, kentucky fried chicken meaning they should sell only chicken meal.. i guess even their burgers are made of chicken and not burger patties....
