I'm to old to be drafted and my family is dead. I do know someone who recently enlisted (for 6 years I might add). Oh and I don't "love" the war. I think Saddam (I guess you forgot about that guilty verdict) needed to be removed from power and it wouldn't hurt if the same thing happened in Iran.

I help doing notwithstanding it takes to freshen up the mess in Iraq on a similar time as retaining as many risk-free as achievable... i think of the adult adult males in women human beings in or protection stress are being taxed heavily doing distinctive excursions in the barren region, and its much greater good on their families. i think of a draft might reason nationwide outrage regardless of the undeniable fact that, and it ought to supply an excellent more advantageous seem of defeat.... that's possibly why the president has strayed remote from a draft! yet extremely i do no longer think of the quantity of troops we deliver to Iraq is going to make lots of a difference except we detect a thank you to double the quantity there, and that should purely be achievable with a draft!!! so i say the two a clean approach or a draft!

Iraq war lovers? You are foolish.
I would absolutely support a draft if it were to be enacted.
What have you done for your country lately?

Back slid'n all the way up the hill G Bush?
"History teaches us that underestimating the words of evil, ambitious men is a terrible mistake," Bush said. "Bin Laden and his terrorist allies have made their intentions as clear as Lenin and Hitler before them. And the question is, will we listen?"
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071101/ap_o...
If I am not mistaken, Bin Laden is not a threat to the US. So why on earth would G Bush use him like this?
Just goes to show how much this man is a lier!
Somebody prove me wrong please, come on cons rep, answer the question...
Did he just not lie to the world? To his country? To his fellow man?
Yes or No?
If War Denial is dangerous, then Bin Laden must be a threat! It would be nice if this so called man made up his mind for the better of our troops!
Sorry Bas;lkj;

I posted a question on yahoo Q/A form and figured this would be some great ammo vs G Bush.
Sending it to you if you want to use it, feel free.

I do not support the draft, even though I am no longer eligible for it, and have no son who might someday be subject to it. It's just general principle. A country that can't raise a volunteer force for it's own defense doesn't deserve to be defended.

Absolutely!!!
But I bet by the tone of your question that is not the answer you are looking for. . .
I love my country and my nation. GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!
But even if there was a draft, I would volunteer long before my number was called. I did three years in the Army, and thoroughly enjoyed it!!! There is no greater thrill than in knowing that when our country needed me I was there!!! And I always will be.
God bless the men and women in the Armed Forces!!! They are true heroes and patriots!!!

Can't draft me, I'm already in.
Not a war lover either, so you're off on that one.
I don't support war. Just the rights of all people to be free.

I support it regardless of what they do on the home front.
I should point out that I do have a brother that's currently in Iraq and another that just recently returned from Iraq.

Have a son who's been there, getting ready to go back at the first of the year and a niece there now.
So oops, try again.
BTW...there will be no draft, no matter how bad Al Shapton wants it.

There are no conditions for my support.
1. There will be no draft because we do not need one.
2. This war needs to be fought. We need to deal with terrorism and the countries that harbor them.
