I think the easiest way is to take a few pictures that REALLY inspire you, and start with them. Then pick out a few products that match the theme of your pictures. You will need a paper cutter/trimmer, adhesives (I like Tombow Mono Adhesives) and some scissors to start. There are some really good places for ideas, like www.outonalimbscrapbooking.com and others. Or just go into your local scrapbook store and ask for help! Hope that helps!

All I want to add is to remember that there is no way to do it wrong. Everyone is an individual and their scrapbooks will be too. Don't be intimidated by what you see in books and magazines. Most of us don't have the time and money to make our pages look like that but we have still chronicled the picture and memory for future generations.

Take a 3-ring binder and decorate it to your liking, then take card stock and punch holes in it to turn it into a page for the binder. Use that page as a base for one or more photos and any backgrounds, captions or decorations to go with the photo. You can use old wrapping paper, magazine pictures, cutouts from old greeting cards, pressed leaves, or even shapes that you cut from fabric or paper.
