People make fun of Christians ans Jesus all the time but say something about Muslims and ooooooh you are a racist. That is just one example of it. It is completely wrong to say negative things about some of the most repulsive and degenerate people in the world. Anyone agree?

I'm not talking about politicains. I'm talking about regular people every day that are afraid to even think something bad about people. Afraid to point out that it's stupid that mulsim women wear face coverings in america, yet get their nails done long and fake. Or the people who wear gang tattoos and crosses. Or women with 5 babies and no baby daddy, living on welfare. Or teachers being afraid to say something mean to a black kid because he mught get offended.

No, I don't agree. Extremist Muslims don't represent all Muslims and that's the generalization you are making. And who cares about PC? It's just childish to go around offending people for no good reason.

Yes it is. PC is a kind of fascism that dare not show its face. People who jump at you because you said something that *might* offend someone are the thought-police of today.

Personal experience; back in the 90s I filed a complaint at the Human Rights Commission in NYC for sexual harassment. Every single man of the staff was queer like nobody's business, and I mean: nail polish, narrow shoes, processed hair, make up, tight pants showing their butts... and two years later I still had no news of my complaint . I asked the Commissioner, a woman, and incidentally I said maybe it had something to do with the fact the men were homosexuals (because, logically, how would they understand a woman's point of view in this case?) and the Commissioner was very upset because I had used that word, or at least aknowledged the reality. "I wished you had not said that!" she said, sounding exasperated. I wasn't even using an insulting word like there are so many, just the scientific word, mind you! Maybe I should have said "gay".

I hope when you mention "some of the most repulsive and degenerate people" you are not referring to Muslims.

I honestly believe political correctness was initiated with good intentions - but it has grown tentacles and invaded every aspect of our lives. I would not be a very good politician because when something smells like a rat - as Shakespeare might say - by any other name, it's still a rat.
Political correctness has become the new foundation of a movement in this country that seems to want to obliterate the glue that holds our society together. Even the words "normal," "norm" or "tradition" have no real meaning any longer. The moment you dare say that, in your opinion, something isn't normal - you are immediately labeled as intolerant or worse.
Anything goes? Not if we want to remain a civilized society.

Yes. That has been going on for quite some time now. The 90's ushered in the political correctness era, and it has been getting progressively worse ever since.

Yes. PC has become an obsession with the Media and politicians.

Anything Judeo/Christian is out anything Muslim is in. An 'Artist can soak a crucifix in Urine, cover the virgin Mary in Excrement, and that is artistic expression. But draw a picture of Mohammad with a bomb in his turban and that is sacreligious.

No, America is not becoming obsessed with political correctness. Americans are already there. And they were there a loooooong time ago.

Not really. Maybe some liberals take too far now and then, but really, its just decency. I thought Southerners were all about Decency and tolerance.

This is what happens when liberals and spineless Republicans run the government.
