Nationalism is a form of patriotism. It is sometimes defined as an intense pride in and loyalty to ones native country. Most Americans think of themselves as Americans first, then New Yorkers, or Floridians, or Texans next. Many Europeans and Middle Easterners, while residing in another nation, may still think of themselves first as British, or Germans, or Egyptians. Each nation has its own traditions and culture. You can see that form of nationalism expressed in the various holidays that people celebrate. While we all enjoy the Fourth of July, there are some Americans who also celebrate Cinco de Mayo as an important day in Mexican history. Others may remember Bastille Day in some way. All of us express nationalism also in the voluntary organizations we belong to. The Olympics and other world wide sports events also are a way of expressing nationalism, especially when one of our citizens wins an award!!

The clearest example in the world today is World Cup Soccer.
People work themselves into a frenzy out of pride for their national teams. I agree with the answer above that the Olympics are another venue displaying nationalism today.
At the time of World War I, European nationalism was expressed much more tragically in the use of armed forces.
Sporting events are a much preferred outlet.

We could start with Palestine, add Sri Lanka, drop in on everywhere in the former Soviet Union, give Quebec a nod and follow up with the Seneca Nation of New York. In the later case, I only saw part of the sign but that looked like the intent.
The expressions are terrorism, civil disobedience and political agitation.
