Brian Ross ABCNews tonight . He says that it has been known that the procedure has been removed. The option is perhaps the US may need to use it again. BUT why? Only 3 terrorists were subjected to it and no one since 2003? Why the BUZZ?
btw the AG is expected to pass as later today more Democrats approved his appointment...
Idea's here? Are you seeing how elections work? No conspiracies just dirt down politics. As usual. Appreciate your input.

Nicely stated top two. I am from Hawaii and a good day in the water is keeping my suit on, no Japanese taking pics when it falls off and breathing after being pummeled by a wave. LOL
I really think it's just more election crap. Mahalo!

I saw on the news that Fienstien and Schumer will be voting to approve the AG nominee. Apparently Bush gave some speech earlier in the day.

Theres more to the Washington DC then we know of, and people talk behind the scenes.

Regarding waterboarding, its an issue and the buzz is because it is brought up in debates and McCain is against it and the other candidates didn't come out and specifically say they thought waterboarding was wrong.

I think America is looking for someone to be bold and broad and not wishy washy.

Its like Clinton and the driver's liscense - good idea but then she isn't for it.

Same with torture - people saying "do whatever to get information" - those of us who don't like torture don't like that answer.

We want someone to say Illiegal immigration is wrong period. Someone to say torture is wrong period.

A consistent view of the world and saying based on that view is how I will be President.

Americans are simple. If we hear someone is for something then they are for something.

Its like Clinton with the Iraq vote in 2002 now she is saying she didn't vote for the war. Everyone knew that vote was for war in Iraq even if the bill itself didn't say "war".

Point is, the issue was "war". The media made it out to be "war".

And you believe this?

Do you also believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny?

Sorry, I'll drop the sarcasm. The bottom line is this: your government is LYING! Cheney has campaigned for years in favor of what they like to call "aggressive interrogation". By international standards to which the US is, by treaty, obligated to adhere, this is torture.

Ever see those photos from Abu Ghraib? That was torture, by international standards. "Waterboarding" --- shoving someone's head below water until they nearly drown --- is also considered to be torture, yet the White House has not only forbidden it but expressed its approval.

Cheney in particular is a big fan of torture and has both campaigned against measures in the Senate designed to forbid it but has spoken in public tours --- including one recently to a university about 20 miles away --- in favor of it.

Just noise.

It gives the rabid BDS sufferers something to rail about. "LOOK IT"S TORTURE! You should be asking politely and offering them raisin muffins to get the info you need!"

personally anyone who swims has felt almost the exact same thing as "water boarding". And honestly i would rather suffer though feeling like I was about to die than having the enemy show me their "Compassion" which usually involved a power drill and genitals.

ADD ON: Ahhh I have been to Hawaii A bunch of times! My uncle and aunt (she is Hawaiian) live on Oahu. Yeah getting knocked around by the surf and haveing it gu up your nose is a pain and a half lol. not as bad as the damn Jelly fish though lol.

which part of 'we don't torture anyone in the usa' do you not understand?

the bad guys torture - we don't.

it also does not work. torture NEVER has worked.

this fantasy that waterboarding works, is pure nonsense.

if you want to hang out with someone who thinks torture is swell - try moving to saudi arabia...
