Biden on both counts

I like Kucinich too though

The reason is that Biden has been in the senate for 35 years in the Foreign Relations committee. He has personally witnessed history in the making. He has met every leader of Israel since his 1st days in office for example.

The interesting thing about this question is that I'm being asked to trust a politician...so here it goes...I trust Hillary the most...now, here's the catch...it's not the kind of trust persae as in I trust the words that are coming out of her mouth, but rather I trust her to know how to play the political game and to be capable of using this to her advantage. I do not one someone in office who is wet behind the ears nor do I want Honest Abe...who wasn't all that honest by the way...I don't want someone who is all gung-ho and this is the way I want things done because really, that isn't the way it works in the District even if your party does control congress. You must have someone in office who isn't afraid to play hardball but also knows how to compromise so that we actually might see things accomplished for once.

Mike Gravel.

Gravel trusts the people, so you don't have to trust him: trust yourself.

Gravel is also the most likely to improve our standing in the world. Why is it deemed "wacko" to consider people in other countries as human beings? Gravel is the most consistently humane of the candidates. He's not naive. He's a visionary. He's willing to see past the knee-jerk jingoism that passes for worldly wisdom among politicians.

Look beyond the corporate media's presentation of Mike Gravel before you label him "wacko."

I hate to answer questions like this, 'cause I know I'll be bashed by somebody, no matter what my answer is!!! At any rate...

Right now I'm leaning toward Barack Obama...my real reasoning behind this is that all of the other candidates appear to be concerned about improving things for themselves or for their party, and I believe that Obama is concerned about improving things for Americans. Additionally, he believes in using diplomacy to solve problems internationally...Actually talking with (not at or to) those who would otherwise be our enemies, and trying to find a solution that makes everyone happy...Instead of using violence to try to stop violence.

I don't believe that any of the Republican candidates will do anything except maintain status-quo (that's the very definition of 'conservative').

I don't believe that any of the Democratic candidates are electable (Hillary may think she's in the lead, but even if she wins the primary, she'll never win the election).

Most of the candidates we are dealing with are dividers. I believe that Obama is a uniter, and that this is what our great country needs.

I also agree with him on many other points, but these are the ones that address your question.

There is one candidate that comes to mind, Ron Paul.. Unlike your typical politician, Paul's record is actually CONSISTENT.. and he votes accordingly to the Constitution, not by what lobbyists, corporations and interest groups tell him..

He is by far the best candidate for building foreign relations, why? He advocates a policy of diplomacy and trade.. not costly wars where so many innocent people die and nothing is ever resolved..

I have to say I've been IMPRESSED with him... Republican or Democrat, I have almost never seen a candidate who is so honest and relativistic in his/her thinking, and who doesn't try to please the public but says the things exactly as s/he believes them. If you believe in lower taxes, are anti-war, against the patriot act, and believe in honest government who looks out for our well being not their own self interests this is the man for you!

John McCain, experience speaks for itself.
We can't afford, in these times we're in to train an "intern" for president, or allow illegal aliens drivers licenses. Everyone else is a lawyer and have no practical experience. Some don't know how to run a city, let alone a business or have any military experience. I'm not willing to cast my vote for someone who has no experience in handling the worlds most powerful arsenal (current prez as example). Neither will I vote for a "freshman" senator, who's willing to make concessions to those who want us dead. I'm an independent voter and none of the dems look or sound good. As for the repubs, I could see McCain (Prez) / Huckabee (VP). Guliani is too liberal running as conservative. Just because he was mayor of NY during 9-11 doesn't qualify him to run a nation.

Only 1 candidate that I can truly say will succeed: Hillary Clinton. I'm not looking for a saint, just someone who is intelligent, sensible & efficient.

Barack Obama because he hasn't been in Washington long enough to be corrupted and you can just tell that he is very diplomatic and quite eloquent. Someone that other World leaders would be more at ease talking to.

Question # 1. I trust Ron Paul as the most honest candidate we've had in a long time.

Question # 2. Again Ron Paul a current member of the congressional house foreign relations committee who would be the most privy to current foreign affairs than "ANY" of the other candidates.
