I have Windows XP and have not had this problem before, but I had to reinstall it, and ever since, I have not been able to download or install certain programs, like Adobe Reader, Java, or anything similar. These are things I need to run certain programs, so I'm very frustrated. Any ideas?

It's things I'm downloading from the Internet, like AIM, Adobe Reader, and Java. It gives me a message saying, "The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete." I have done a Windows update, and that didn't help.

have you been to windows update got all your updates in
if so you may need to adjust your firewall a bit to allow download
is puter working ok other than that??

If you have a spyware and virus protection turn them off before you select download.Mine stops me the same way.

your security settings may be too high. go to your internet options and change your settings. or log in as administrator and change from their.
