Say Bush had a heart attack and Cheney become President. What will happen next?

Within 24 hours of taking office, Cheney would begin bombing runs on Iran, without Congressional approval. The military, undersatnding they are not to attack a sovereign nation without Congressional approval, refuses Cheney's orders, prompting him to engage in a series of Stalin-esque purges of the Corridors of Power.
I would hope widespread protests, strikes, work stoppages, etc, would show the PNAC puppet just how soundly America rejects their agenda. All the while Cheney and his cabinet would be busy pissing off every country not alreayd hostile to us, figuring if THEY can't have America anymore, NO ONE can.

I have a feeling even the Secret Service wouldnt stop the bullet with Cheney's name on it.

While I don't advocate violence to resolve plolitical issues, that man is evil and needs to spend the rest of his days in as small a cell as his civil rights allow us to get away with.

It could only happen other way around that Cheney will get a heart attack. But in any event nothing will change as Cheney is the one who runs he country.

Congress would become much more aggressive about cutting off or restricting funds for programs they don't like , and his veto would be over ridden because the republicans don't like or trust Cheney either. The government would gridlock until the next presidents takes power.
