You can make the league without being drafted. Look up Steve Thomas. Not a bad career for a walk on.

Most definitely. Though it is kid of rare, it has been happening more and more lately (due to a number of factors - faster game, better training, etc). Obviously Sidney Crosby was a teen, as was Jordan Staal on Pittsburgh when they started.
This year you have Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews on the Blackhawks to name a few.
It used to be more rare, but it seems you're seeing a couple teenagers make an NHL roster each year now.

Many of those going into the NHl are over 20. Its less likely that those under 19é20 get in. Crosby, Kane, Toews are exceptions....

Yes definately, Jan Hlinka for an example (plays for Colorado) just started this year and he's in his late 20's

happens all the time.
Magnus Johanson (D-man for Chicago) is 34 (I THINK) and this is his rookie year now
