when i delete history or any other files i herd that it stays in the hard drive. can i delete it without it still staying in the computer?

The files will remain there unless they are written over. This usually takes a very long time. So someone can easily recover the files. You have to perform a secure delete in order to permanently delete information from your computer. This works by encrypting, deleting and overwritten the information to reduce it to garbage code that can be retrieved. The page below will show you how.

It depends on your settings. If you have cache's kept for 15 days, then deleting your disk cleaner will not clear the items. Set your files for 0 days and then delete. Or, go to Cnet or Znet and get "uninstaller program", which will clear all.

Use a program called BC Wipe, all files that you delete will be gone for ever!!

The easy way: Empty the recycle bin.
More difficult, but much more secure: Use a software shredder. Many virus packages, such as McAfee, contain one.
