how do I get a better shower pressure from my bar-type mixer shower?

Not quite sure what you mean.....But if you get a pair of pliers and take the head off, (use a rag to put on the shower head so you don't scratch it up).....When you look inside the shower head, you'll see some kind of rubber that keeps you from using too much water. Remove what's in there but SAVE it!.Replace the head without that stuff.......If you don't like it, just put it back in.
