Depends mostly on what is leaking, air, coolant or both. If air is leaking into the engine when running (vacuum leak) it can create a lean condition in the cylinders affected. If coolant is leaking it can leak externally or worse internal to the engine oil. Coolant in engine oil will damage the engine. Very common in some GM vehicles built late 1990's and early 2000's.

It really depends upon where the leak is . if in the coolant passage it could leak into the engine or out of the engine. If leaking in a port runner it could also leak in or out of the engine causing a ruff running engine among other symptoms.
egc. Chevrolet has a problem with the aluminum manifold deteriorating around the water ports usually near #8 cylinder and then #7 cylinder the fix is a new manifold.

I had one leak antifreeze into one of the cylinders and that would foul the spark plug and make the engine miss. It was defective from the factory. It can also leak antifreeze to the outside of the engine too. I had that happen too and had to replace the gasket that goes between the manifold and the heads. That will just make your coolant level drop and when it's gone you burn up the engine if you don't check it. It can also leak vacuum. With a vacuum leak if it isn't too big of a leak can make to engine idle faster and some times it will cause it to miss and with a big leak it won't hardly run at all without giving it a lot of gas. I hope this helps. Good luck.

The intake manifold does contain coolant and if it leaks your radiator will get low. You may overheat and you may get a check engine light.

cannot tune the carb/s, or fuel injection engine, engine idling uneven and rev's going up and down at idle, spray some quick start on the inlet manifold everywhere, if there is a change in the engine's behaviour at idle, you have leak/s.

sure does, you will lose anti-freeze as it's drained into the engine and can blow up the engine, check your oil dipstick and see if the oil looks milky and is over the full mark and if it is get the intake gasket fixed immediately.
