YES YOU CAN- I used to work for AVIS- and all they do is type your license number into the system - They DO NOT check validity. (GoodLuck)

Are you saying that you lost it or that it was taken away from you because of the way you were driving? If you lost it, then go and get a new one the proper way. If they took it away from you, then you need to wait until you are allowed to be able to have that privilege returned back to you.

Either way using a fake drivers licenses will land you in a ton of trouble, especially if your caught using it to help you rent a car. That's fraud and you will get time in a prison for doing that. Knowingly renting a car using a fake form of identification is a crime, that's called fraud. You will go to jail.

You better quit while you are ahead and leave well enough alone. Before you end up going to prison for fraud. It sounds as though you already have enough problems as it is.

Can you? Possibly. Can you legally? No, definitely not. Why not just go get a replacement if you lost yours, if you just physically misplaced it. If you had it pulled for something like traffic violations, then trying to rent a car with a fake license is getting yourself into even more trouble.

WHile it is possible that it may work, it is also possible that you will get caught.

IF you lost it as in you can't find it - go to your local Drivers License department and request a replacement - you have to pay but usually not much.

IF you lost it as in you were BUSTED and lost your license - you can be arrested for faking it. Not usually worth it.

Car rental places supposedly check to see if you have more than a certain number of tickets or have been convicted of certain particular driving-related offenses. I would assume that the computer system used to check the licenses also tells them whether it is a valid license.
