People work hard and pay taxes, some people are targeted by the government into paying even more money for no good reasons. Where as politicians are rich and not only get paid by the citizens for their job (lack there of) but even before they are elected. And when they are in office they become even more richer by agreeing to tax the citizens even more. All while promising to help them to begin with, only to step over them in order to benefit themselves.

Because we don't hold them accountable unless they belong to the opposing party. Given the Theatrics of the 110th Congress replacing the entire lot, both parties, would send quite a message wouldn't it?

While there are some obvious problems with the idea, it would be just to automatically convict every politician of corruption (if not treason) as soon has his term ends.
