Elizabeth I is one of the most important monarchs the western world has ever seen. I'm not sure she would have been had her mother lived. Henry VIII was a stubborn, self-centered man, and he was never going to be satisfied with anything other than a male heir. That being the case, there were only two ways Anne was going to survive: give Henry a living son, which she failed to do; or agree to a divorce and declare her own daughter illegitimate, which she refused to do. Anne didn't sell Elizabeth out to save her own head. That combined with the adversity Elizabeth faced as the daughter of a disgraced and beheaded queen gave Elizabeth the strength of character she needed to rule.

Her guilts were never proven. Without Anne there never would have been an Elizabeth I. Maybe Anne could have made Henry a better King: but I doubt it.

Well, it allowed Henry to marry all those other women, for one thing. If he hadn't married them, Prince Edward wouldn't have been born, and Catherine Parr wouldn't have tutored his daughters. For another, it set a sort of precedent to him getting rid of his wives. And it had a profound effect on young Princess Elizabeth, who, seeing how her father treated her mother, determined never to marry. Which led to James being declared heir, which led to the English Civil War, which led to the Restoration, which led to the Glorious Revolution, which led to a constitutional monarchy in England. So, a pretty big effect, I should say.

Her child did grow up to be one of the most influential Queens of all time though.
