A lot of them are, certainly - if you're getting money for nothing, you sure as hell aren't going to vote in the guy who wants to take that away from you.
But there are a lot of minorities who are turning to the Republican party - I find that encouraging.

Well, considering that the Republican party was the party of the racist south, is it really that hard to imagine why that left such a sour taste in the mouths of black people? Black people used to be almost exclusively Republicans, because Lincoln was a Republican and white southerners voted democrat as a result. When the Democratic party affiliated itself with the civil rights movement, there was a massive paragdim shift. Blacks now support the Democrats, and White southerners vote Republican.
Hispanics? Well, given that most Republicans think the army should line up machine guns along the U.S/Mexican border and start gunning down illegals, is it any wonder why hispanics tend to be democrat?
That minorities are after the welfare loot is just an uninformed excuse. A mother of three can expect to draw about 350 dollars a month on welfare. An entry-level job flipping burgers will draw that in less than two weeks, so that's not a whole lot of money. There are far more realistic reasons that minorities choose to vote democrat.

Not the majority. But too large a percentage. These programs create dependency and voters.
I live in a largely Democrat county. Social programs galore (in my opinion anyway). Where I work, I see it first hand. I hear it first hand that these people will not vote for a Republican because they think all Republicans are rich and trying to take advantage of them... Unlike the Democrats.
Why the drivers license thing now... Its giving them something... for what? Democrats expect something in return. And they will get it from the good feelings created from the gesture. Has nothing to do with the act being ethical.
Similar to the Hillary baby bond issue. Why? It gives people something they think they are owed. Has nothing to do with how its paid for... redistribution of wealth (taxes). It will get votes because people think the Democrats do that type of thing. Has nothing to do with the fact that these programs create dependency and do not encourage independence.
I do not want govt in my life. I'm not rich, but I'm not failing. Life has tought me personable responsibility. If others have not learned that by now... I will not pay for them.

A LOT of repubs believe that to be true.
Otherwise, It's kinda like "if my folks were dems, so will I".
The repubs are the ones that fought slavery. The southern democrats were the plantation owners and slave holders, maybe that is wh.
The repubs ended the draft because the rich kids could go to college and dodge the war, minorities were thrust into the military. Still, minorities don't see the repub. side so the conclusion is that minorities use the entitlements that the dems provide (although so do the repubs), but the dems tax the crap out of everything, so there is resentments that they have to pay for raising other people's kids, schools, programs, now healthcare.
If all the rich people, including corporations that the liberals hate left America, everyone would starve or fall flat on their face.

Literally no. Subconsciously yes.
Democrats are for big government and big social programs that provide more and more for everyone without the need of people to provide for themselves.
This is highly attractive to people who don't have a lot, perceive that they don't have enough, or think that the wealthy have the mythical power to keep them from improving their own lives.
A government party that promises to tax the wealthy and give everything to them is like Robin Hood. The unfortunate thing is that they do not have the foresight to see what these policies actually do.
Republicans are for small government, personal choices, and personal responsibility. If you want to have something, earn it. If you want to be wealthy, work hard (or smart) and earn it.

No.
I believe they are Democrats because they believe the old Democratic Party still exist. You know the one I'm talking about. The one that believes in the working man and will fight for him. The one that doesn't believe in raising taxes.
The Democratic Party that exist now is a joke. Take a look at Congress. Their approval rating is the lowest it's ever been in history. They fight our President on everything. They've gotten nothing done with the exception of min. wage.

I wouldn't think so, but welfare has provided a perverse incentive to those who can't afford to raise even one child to have /many/. In the aggregate, that may have added more than a few democratic voters to the rolls.

The Republican party is the party of White wealthy males and the ones that support them do so because of religion and the NRA etc. It crazy, they run on morality and so many of them are closet homosexuals...but to answer your question, i think part of the reason minorities vote is because they don't want to lose entitlements, just like poor and working class whites like me, but i think the biggest reason is not a race issue, but a class issue. Reps have proven they could care less about working and poor people and especially minorities, so i think its a combination of all those things.

8 million people were forced off welfare during President Clinton term:
"Over the past eight years we've cut welfare case loads by more than 8 million people. Last year alone, 1.2 million parents on welfare went to work determined to build better lives," he added, saying welfare rolls had fallen nearly 60 percent since 1993 to their lowest level in 30 years."
Why would they like him?

I do believe that people that receive massive govt entitlements vote democrat . . .this includes minorities on welfare and white, black, pink & red people who want the government to do it for them. Why else is Hillary promising everything but the kitchen sink . . . she's trying to buy votes!
