if I move to California, Texas, New York, or Illinois how can I change my name over there and about how much would it cost?
and how old do I have to be?
I am also talking about if I decided to change my first, middle, or last name

In California, you petition the Superior Court. Costs would be about $300. Need to be 18. Doesn't matter which name you want to change. You could pick just about any name you want.
