SUCH a mind game- Pushing those buttons....Yes, that person (a guy in the case re: ur question)- knows what pushes you over the edge, setting you off into a rage.

I go to a Womens' Support Group- We have this exercise where we have 5 buttons, write down 5 things that infuriate us, and then leave the buttons in a jar, where they are to be kept. We are AWARE of what pushes our buttons, know better than to let these button pushing things get under our skin, but, got to be honest with you....It STILL does occur @ times. Some people are REALLLLLY good @ pushing those good 'ol buttons. If this exercise works, MAN, does it "Push the buttons" of the one trying to torment ya- lol! I'll telll you this too, when you don't let them push the buttons they know will piss you off- The MINDGAME sure isn't fun for them then!

Hope this helped. Good luck, take care, and have a great week-end!

Mine are internal and can only be pushed a certain amount of times before the little bomb attached to those buttons explodes.

There are certain behaviors that tend to annoy us. The phrase "he/she really pushes my buttons" simply refers to someone that acts in a way that continuously annoys you.

There are no physical buttons the phrase is metaphorical..
